Year 3 Tutorial Overview – Enhancing Programme-Specific Skills

The tutorial activities should:

• provide a mixture of tutor-led and student-led activities supported by a series of plenary sessions to support final year students in developing their programme-specific skills.
• provide preparation for final year programme-specific activities and exams.

Intended Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of Final year tutorial activities students should be able to:

• develop and apply programme-specific skills
• search for information and identify relevant data to meet their information needs
• select and apply appropriate approaches to assessment tasks
• integrate and synthesise the information obtained in lecture-based units to obtain an overview of the degree programme discipline.
• develop new and improve existing transferable skills including time management to balance coursework and project work
• develop problem-solving skills within the degree programme discipline
